The Small Key ( An Ending)

The next morning, when Soledad felt okay, as if she really had been from a serious illness. She went to kitchen to prepare breakfast to her husband while Pedro Buhay is still sleeping. Suddenly, Soledad heard footsteps from the stairways, it's Pedro. She immediately sit in the dining table and prepare herself to a breakfast. She doesn't know what to do if how she will confessed the things happened and how she will going to explain why she did such. Pedro Buhay seated in front of Soledad in the table. They were so quiet. Silence and tension is in the air. But Soledad breaks her silence. "Uhmm, about what happened", she said nervously. "What?", Pedro immediately answered. "I know that you already found out the mess, I burnt it all! The things of your first wife", she said it crying. And then she added, "Why you're still keeping her things? Why? I am your wife now. She was already dead. Tell me, what's the reason why you're still keeping them? Don't you love me? Are you still in love with your first wife?". Pedro dropped his spoon in his plate. "I love you. But those things, those things you burned, are her personal things that are important to me. They are part of my life. I kept them I treasure them. But that doesn't mean that I'm still in love with her and I don't love you. She is part of my life. And she is in my heart, forever. But when I met you, I fell in love again. And you complete me. So, please Choleng, stop thinking that I don't love you at all. It's really hard form me, seeing those things ... gone!", Pedro said it with tears in his eyes.

"I'm sorry", Soledad whispered. "I'm sorry because I thought that you were still in love with her. That you don't love me at all. I'm sorry Pedro. Please forgive me. I'm just frustrated that I am still competing with a ghost that every time I do, I didn't win", she added. Pedro Buhay stood up from his chair and hugged Soledad. "Ssshh ... stop crying. I'm sorry if I let you feel that feeling. I am sorry if I make you feel inferior with the things. Don't cry now", he said it to comfort Soledad. "Let's forget the things that happened", said Pedro. Soledad felt at eased upon hearing the words from Pedro.

                                    He's the one who makes me feel happy every time he cracks joke and in times that I feel sad and alone. He is funny obviously. I like the way he treated me as if I'm his girl. He is sweet, simple, caring, and thoughtful person. He is just an ordinary guy in the world but has an extraordinary personality. His  motto in life is, "If you love someone give your best shot". He is doing all for his love and giving her the time and effort just to show his love for the girl he love.

                              He is not the most handsome guy but i get attracted to his personality and to his principles in life. I wish that he can feel the same way I feel for him, CHAR! He was my friend since my first year in college in this institution. We were block mates. He is a Criminology student. We don't usually talk a lot before but as years passes, our friendship goes deeper that seems like we have a special treatment to each other. He is actively engage in sports especially in basketball.

                               Until now, we still cherish each others moment  that we have. Our friendship is important to me.

Once there was a princess who tried to escape from her past painful experience she felt to someone who broke her heart. She tried very hard to forget and surpass the dilemma that she was unto. But later on, she did. She did conquered those pains and heartaches. She fully moved on and continue her life living in a wonderful world that she had realized. One day, she met a prince, that was not new to her. She always see the prince whenever there is a ball in every Castles in land. Now knowing that the prince she saw was the son of the king in that castle.She fell in love to the prince after she saw him again and from the very first time she saw him.Giving her hand a dance to him. Feeling her danced under the moonlight full of birds humming and chirping, fireflies that creates romantic lights, and of course romantic background music through violins and a piano playing. While in the middle of their dance, the princess thinks that she might fall in love to a wrong person again. She stopped imagining beautiful things that seems to be so perfect for her. The princess refused the prince and ran away. The princess went to the castle's garden to stop herself from falling to that prince. She saw  little fireflies flying  around the flowers,trees, and everywhere. She was under a bright and shining moon that lights the whole castle. She heard birds chirping that seems like they were singing. And she heard romantic music played through violins and a piano. Then she remembered, was this I imagined? But the princess felt so sad because there's one very important thing lack. A prince. The princess sat in the castle's Gala. She felt sad and lonely. But the princess did not know that the prince followed after her the whole time. He was behind of those things happened in the garden. He sets the music and he knows that the castle has a lot of fireflies during evening, birds that are humming and it was a perfect timing that the moon shines so beautiful. The prince slowly appeared to the princess and asked again for a dance. A dance that for the two of them only. The princess couldn't reject the prince offer and in no second thought, she said "yes". They dance and dance the whole music. They were staring to each other, looking in their faces, eyes to eyes. Cherishing every moment they have that time. Feeling like the things moves very slow and slow and slow. They really fell in love to each other.That night never ends their romantic story. The prince asked the hand of the princess, not to dance again, but to ask for a beautiful life long commitment.The prince kneel down and slowly getting the hand of the princess. The princess was shocked after and seeing and hearing the prince confessions and asked her to marry him. The princess felt very glad and happy to finally found a man that would make her happy for the rest of her life. The princess slowly answered. "yes", then she repeated it, "yes" and "yes" and "yes" then she exclaimed, "YES!, I will marry you". She felt very happy. The prince felt very very happy too.. He hugged the princess tight and kissed her hand and in forehead. The prince said,"I Love You and I will always be". With a warmth felt by the princess in the arms of her prince, she felt contented and thankful. Then the princess whispered," I Love You too". They enjoyed the night together under a sweet, romantic and magical night for them. From then on, the prince and the princess live happily ever after.

Me As A Wounded Creature

                         Whenever people suffer in pain, they are actually bleeding in wounds inside. Painful? Yes it is. But why are we suffering such pain?

                          Experiences from our past makes a human being stronger and bolder. It's normal. That's how and what life is. Pain is part of our lives. I, myself experienced such a bitter past life and experiences that no one would ever imagine to feel the feeling i felt. It's not easy to be in a situation that there's a lot of scars and heartaches inside. We call them miseries, bitterness, sorrows, resentment, pain, torment, grief, suffering, and others.

But a realization comes out to my mind that in every pain we get, we can be better, that life must go on and on until one day, you imagine yourself that it was just a nightmare, full of unexpected things happened.

How to Become a Good Student

Are you a good student? Or just pretending as a good one like others? Well, definitely  that’s up to you. This editorial of mine will help you widen your thoughts in mind on how to be mature  and to be responsible at the same time.

Every student should possess a character of being “responsible” in all aspects of life. As a student, we are all capable of doing our doings right. And by that we are able to achieve that goal in order for us to be a role model to others. But when do we start to be a good one? Well, start with yourself, study hard, consume your time in studies  and give your best shot. Be responsible! Start now, Start today! Do the things that needs to be done and act the things that must acted like one!

A realization makes sense! A sense that all of us must set it into our minds. Never waste time, do whatever you can do before it may cost to nothing and  for sure too late.

The True Essence of Pronunciation

Speaking of the English language plays a very important role in our lives because as we know English is the universal language.  And also we are using that language in order to convey our ideas and opinions to other. Well, when we are going to speak  English, pronunciation is very important in order to be understood.

Pronunciation is the language feature that most readily identifies speakers. It means to say that when you speak,  you speak clearly and monotonously. According to Seidhofer (1995) that “pronunciation is never and end itself but a means of negotiating meaning in discourse, embedded in specific socio-cultural and interpersonal contexts”. Indeed, pronunciation needs to be use  as communicative interaction along with other aspects of spoken discourse, such as pragmatic meaning and nonverbal communication. But for Morley (1999) Accent is a distracter to the listener. Since  we rarely achieve an accent-free  pronunciation, we set to fail if we strive (non native speakers of the language) to speak for native like accuracy. She also stated that Eradication of an accent should not be our goal. To communicate, therefore, it is necessary to say the words we want to say correctly and clearly.

As we gain communicative skill, we also need to gain confidence In our ability to speak and be understood. Because some of our fellow Filipinos speaks differently in English because it’s not our own language and were not a native speaker of it. Thus, we should use the English properly by pronouncing the words well and of course don’t forget that when you speak , speak with thought.
